For Sale: 1948 Chevrolet 3100 in Seattle, Washington for sale in Seattle, WA
Vehicle Description 1948 Chevy 3100 Thriftmaster PU.
DGT0330 VIN 14FP110330 216 straight 6 stock engine with a 3 speed on the column.
I've looked this PU over and I really like the condition it's in.
The paint is very nice.
The wide whites are like new.
I bought it in Ballard and Drove it up.
Drives great.
The pickup was purchased in rural Ohio in late 2000 and shipped to Albuquerque, NM where it received body, paint and some interior work.
The engine was worked on by a neighbor who restored cars (mainly 280z - retired Air Force and commercial pilot).
My mom always wanted an old pickup and he said You find it and I will work on it and get it running for you.
In 2006, my mom relocated and did not have a garage to store it or the arms to manage the not-so power steering and had it shipped up to my place in Seattle for safe keeping.
The car was a summer driver (lots of thumbs up) and parade car many times for Swedish Hospital in the Syttende Mai Parade in Ballard and the summer parade in Greenwood - otherwise it really was in the garage with the occasional outing in the fall when it was not raining.
