For Sale: 1968 Chevrolet Corvette in Shoreline, Washington for sale in Seattle, WA
Vehicle Description Up for sale is a beautifully restored Big Block, black 1968 corvette convertible with new black leather seats and M21 4-speed manual transmission.
The corvette underwent a complete restoration to original condition including, but not limited to, all of the interior to the exterior right down to the refacing of the gauges to replacing the headlight canisters and has less than 300 miles on the vehicle since restoration.
What is not original is the American Standard chrome wheels, which I think are beautiful, in my opinion, and the upgraded cd radio.
The corvette comes with its original hardtop that has been completely restored with new black headliner.
The car also has a soft top which could use new fabric.
The car operates and drives excellently.
The car is a trailer queen, or weekend driver (your choice) and perfect for show condition with no scratches or nicks in any of the body or the paint.
All of the doors, deck lid, headlights, etc.
line up perfectly.
The car has factory electric windows, power steering, and power brakes.
I took the car's matching numbers 427 - 435 h.
p.
motor, after I restored it, and placed it in my 1966 corvette that had a blown 327 engine.
In exchange, I placed a new 502/502 chevrolet engine with square port heads in the corvette less than 300 miles ago.
The car is probably pushing more than the 500 horsepower rating.
The exhaust system is an upgraded three baffle flow master system that rumbles nicely but not so load that no one will ride with you.
At idle, the exhaust pipes push air through the rear exhaust like a leaf blower.
The engine has been babied and not raced.
I have been collecting for some time and this corvette is a ten by any standard.
This corvette specimen would make an excellent contribution to your collection; and, it can also be the car that when driven, as they were in 1968, will crush your competition.
I have listed the car at $41,000.
I will entertain reasonable offers as well.
Thank you for watching this item.
