The Artist's Way It’s Never Too Late To Begin Again Classes in Seattle are Now Open for Registration for Spring/Summer 2024 – Online via ZOOM

Curious about the Artist's Way and how to apply it to your midlife years and/or retirement? Best-selling creativity author Julia Cameron (The Artist’s Way) has created an Artist's Way program geared specifically for older adults including those at midlife and for retirees in her new book: It’s Never too Late to Begin Again: Discovering Creativity and Meaning at Midlife and Beyond. Led by Creativity Instructor Kate Gavigan, students will explore the 12 chapters, learn some fun Artist's Way tools, play with the memoir reflection tasks and identify how to implement the creative tools in their own lives.

Being willing to explore your creativity at any age can instill in you a youthful wonder and can enhance your experience of seeing your retirement years as a time of fun and adventure.  This class can be a great jumpstart to assist you in navigating and thriving during your midlife years and beyond! Maximum: 10 students.  Students also meet with the instructor for a one on one chat for 30 minutes prior to the first class and before the last class.

Kate Gavigan is passionate about The Artist's Way having offered classes since 2009 and seeing the positive changes in her students' lives and having personally experienced the benefits of the materials. Kate worked in social services as a trainer for over 10 years when she found herself drawn to the material in The Artist's Way, which helped her uncover a passion for theatre and the arts. She credits her mid-life career change (now working at her dream jobs as an Artist's Way Instructor and Speaker, a Creativity Coach, a Home Organizer and pursuing her interest in Acting and Music) to having gone through The Artist's Way.

Don't Be Fooled

  • When selling, do not put your home address in your ad.
  • To avoid scams, buy and sell with people you can meet locally, in person.
  • When meeting with someone you don't know, meet in a public place. If that's not possible, have a buddy with you. Also, carry a cell phone; if you feel unsafe, you can call a trusted friend, and stay on the line.
  • Never give out financial or private information like account numbers, PayPal login, or social security number.
  • If an offer sounds too good to be true, it is. Walk away!
