Hi all, we're looking for a roommate interested in renting a room in a nice craftsman house at the top of Queen Anne. I've had great success renting a room in the past, with all of those people becoming good friends to this day. As such, it's worth sharing a bit more about me and the house so we can explore if it might be a good fit. I'm a 51 year old male tech worker who is a bit of an extroverted introvert - meaning I enjoy having people over and entertaining, but also enjoy my quiet time. Love cooking, wine and cocktails, as well as movies and good TV shows, and host regular weekly social dinner parties/get togethers to watch with friends. Have two dogs, but we're able to keep the house quite clean by staying on top of things and a little robot vacuum. The dogs are friendly German Shepherds - one is an older 10 year old, and the other is a year old puppy with giraffe legs. They have full access to the house, so you'd need to be comfortable with them lounging around. We hope to find someone who enjoys living in the house, is comfortable hanging out in the living room or cooking in the kitchen (if they want), and doesn't feel as though they need to just hide in their room (unless you want quiet time of course). Kitchen is newly remodeled and fully stocked if you enjoy cooking. The house is a block from Queen Anne Avenue and Trader Joes (and soon a new Safeway). The area has easy bus transit and driving access to downtown, and includes a two car driveway (a rarity up here!) Though the ad is for a private bedroom (with Queen bed, new Casper mattress, dresser, bookshelves and desk), it's really for living in a full two-story Queen Anne craftsman with finished basement, some off street parking, and some garage storage. There are two bathrooms (both shared but well maintained), in-house basement laundry and high speed internet (wired/Wifi) with free access to most streaming services is also available (Netflix, HBO, Amazon). If interested, there will be a standard rental agreement and one month rent deposit. Utilities are shared equally across all roommates, with full bill availability/disclosure. With its iconic coffee houses, the local family friendly business district is home to countless shops, restaurants, and specialty gift stores. You don't have to leave this neighborhood to find some of the city's best dining options with a variety of restaurants that serve Italian, Cuban, Mexican, Vietnamese, Japanese, Thai, French, Seafood, Vegetarian and American dishes.
