Duties include but are not limited to the following:
Transports and delivers all meals, and nourishments, to patient care areas Retrieves soiled trays and service ware Loads and operates 3 Tank Flight Dishwasher including breaking it down and cleaning the machine as instructed Portions and serves prepared foods and neatly arranges and places items on patient tray Uses portion control utensils Follows written recipes and verbal instruction Ensures tray accuracy by checking menu items on the tray with the printed meal ticket Maintains food temperatures during food service and at point of food delivery according to established procedures Utilizes Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points plan to prevent food borne illnesses, food contamination, and the safeguarding of food through the entire process Maintains an uncluttered, clean and sanitary work area by following the clean as you go sanitary food preparation and handling procedures to prevent foodborne illness and food contamination Recognizes the need for extra housekeeping, prompt attention to spills and personal hygiene practices Follows instructions and Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for the safe and proper use of cleaning and sanitizing agents Cleans pots and pans and performs other heavy-duty cleaning tasks Transports trash from the work area to designated disposal area Uses powered cleaning equipment properly Replenishes supplies Discusses and reports all system problems to leadership Ensures the integrity of stored items on the tray line Participates in the Quality Assurance process, including completion of test trays/obtain other data Provides training to same or lower grade employees Uses equipment safely and carefully, following all safety precautions Participates in established recycling programs, including separating food waste from non-food waste for composting Displays tact and diplomacy at all times Works cohesively to answer and/or resolve problems Exhibits excellent customer service at all times Work Schedule:

Food Service Worker/PD41050A Physical Requirements:
Subject to continuous standing and walking, and frequent stooping, reaching, pushing, pulling and bending. They frequently lift or move objects weighing up to 20 pounds, unassisted (i.e.:
pushing small carts of dirty dishes) and occasionally lift or move objects weighing more than 40-60 pounds. (i.e.:
filling beverage dispensers) with the assistance of other workers. WORKING CONDITIONS:
The work is performed, in a hospital kitchen, where the steam and heat from cooking and dishwashing equipment often cause high temperatures and humidity. The work area can be noisy from food service activities and there is a danger of slipping on floors where food or beverages have been dropped. Food Service Workers are regularly exposed to hot liquids, sharp cutting blades, hot work surfaces and extreme temperature changes when entering walk in refrigerators or freezer units. Subject to prolonged periods of standing. Must abide by personal hygiene standards and safe work procedures such as wearing a hairnet or hat, beard/mustache guard, if needed, and a clean uniform daily. This position involves shift work and requires duty on weekends and holidays. Incumbent may be exposed to contagious diseases while working in a hospital setting. Experience:
A specific length of training and experience is not required, but you must show evidence of training or experience of sufficient scope and quality of your ability to do the work of this position. Evidence which demonstrates you possess the knowledge, skills, and ability to perform the duties of this position must be supported by detailed descriptions of such on your resume. Applicants will be rated in accordance with the OPM Federal Wage System Qualification Standards. SCREEN-OUT ELEMENT:

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
