Our AWS Supply Chain Product team is looking for a results-oriented individual to assume responsibility for all aspects of new product development and sustaining product changes for infrastructure hardware for our Global Datacenters.
This individual will be responsible to develop collaborative relationships across various internal functions as well as external vendors and suppliers.
This individual will be expected to quickly ramp up on the End-to- End processes, develop tools that improve communication, and guide the supply chain team to the end goal of delivering a high quality hardware product.
This individual must have excellent program management skills, an extremely high availability and bandwidth, ability to quickly understand and contribute to products as they are initially built and then brought to mass production with external manufacturing partners.
This individual will be expected to solve complex supply chain issues, establish patterns and practices, and provide leadership to the entire team.
This individual will drive all aspects of new product development and sustaining changes and be directly accountable for the results.
Key responsibilities will include defining and achieving goals for time to market, cost, quality, product availability and order cycle time.
Responsibilities:
Create and own the product roadmap planning processes for Amazon's Infrastructure, Supply Chain and Procurement (ISCaP) team.
Formulate and execute a rolling product roadmap in support of portfolio plans.
Identify, marshal and organize resources to meet required goals.
Lead new product introduction efforts within specific goals for team leadership, supply chain design, schedule, cost, quality, availability and order cycle time goals.
Engage with external manufacturing partners and regional data center teams to create, implement and maintain product change management processes.
Matrix manage team members from across all functions to develop new product plans and sustaining change management processes.
Typical functions include Planning, GSM, Technical PM, SQE, Supply Chain, DFX, Regional DC Teams, Finance, etc.
Represent ISCaP with the product design teams.
Use production expertise to influence and negotiate for supply chain.
Communicate project status updates to various project stakeholders, including team members and executives.
Synthesize a multitude of issues into a clear, concise and focused message.
Present with confidence and brevity.
Always push the leading edge of innovation and excellence and program management practices.
Responsible for transition planning and regional marketing alignment regarding new product initial ramp planning, life cycle volume estimates, and End of Production (EOP) planning.
Work with business stakeholders and process owners and be the global champion in supporting new Product Introduction (NPI), Product Deployment processes (PDP) and End of Life (EOL) management.
Stay abreast of latest advancements in technology, competition, industry developments, and regulatory environment.
Support regional sales and marketing teams with associated product launches, transitions plans, customer engagements, and industry events.
Drive improved visibility around transition planning events, especially as they relate to End of Marketing (EOM), End of Sales (EOS) and End of Production (EOP).

Extensive knowledge of product lifecycle management, product strategies, product requirements and roadmap planning, and product requirements decision making.
Exceptional communication skills which includes clear written and verbal communication as well as the ability to listen effectively.
Excellent creative thinking skills with emphasis on developing innovative solutions to solve complex problems that may not have one clear answer.
Demonstrable capability to negotiate requirements and decisions effectively across a diverse range of teams and to lead through influence.
Ability to create, formalize, and implement, a product portfolio strategy.
Ability to influence cross-culturally across a range of global stakeholders in the engineering, operations, and marketing organizations.

years of High Volume Consumer Electronics Manufacturing experience.
Experience in the implementation of advanced Design for Excellence processes and techniques.
Proven ability to execute in all phases of the product development life cycle, resulting in high-quality hardware products, delivered on time.
Demonstrated ability to work in a self-directed manner, seeking out areas that need attention, rather than being asked to look at specific problem areas.
Outstanding technical problem solving skills and a passion to solve hard problems.
Experience with Product Information Management systems.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
