Amazon is looking for a scale-focused, customer-obsessed, and startup-capable Senior Product Manager - Technical (PMT) who will also manage a small team of PMTs.

We are looking for a star PMT Technical Manager to join our team in Shipping and Delivery Support (SDS).
As the SDS Manager of PMTs, you will identify and implement a global strategy centered on improving Amazon's customer experience and bottom-line profitability by reducing root-cause defects that lead to delivery defects (e.
g.
, theft, losses in transit, etc.
).
In this role you'll have the opportunity to shape our partnerships with other teams, influence the customer experiences we deliver, help us build out critical infrastructure that will advance the sophistication of our machine learning applications, and most importantly help customers receive deliveries successfully.
You will conceive, build, launch, and grow your area, continually evaluating opportunities to drive ongoing improvements and innovation with your team.
This position requires high judgment and an ability to balance customer experience with financial impact; it also offers broad exposure to various business, financial, and technical teams within Amazon.
Key
Responsibilities:
o Driving development and launch of customer facing technical products (including machine learning-based products)o Working closely with operations and/or retail teams across the Amazon network to identify, manage, and implement cost reduction projects.
o Driving flawless technical project implementation by providing sound business requirements and managing technical backlog judiciouslyo Analyzing delivery-related defects and developing solutions that eliminate root causesThe ideal candidate has an accomplished professional background with demonstrated proficiency in advanced mathematics and/or statistics.
You will be well organized, can manage multiple projects simultaneously, and are intellectually curious.
This role will routinely challenge your operational and management skills, project management, critical thinking, and problem-solving.
You will be self-directed and open to new challenges, adept at prioritization, innovation, and getting along with others.
