Amazon Scout Ambassador

Amazon has launched Scout, a new fully-electric delivery device, and the Amazon Delivery Experience team is looking for customer-focused Ambassadors to join our team and help us develop this latest innovation on behalf of our customers.
Scout is a small lightweight device, moves slowly along pedestrian paths, and has been designed to deal with the complexities of a neighborhood.
As an Ambassador, you will accompany Scout out in the field (neighborhood), and for now, perform package deliveries to customers.
You will have all the tools you need to track and assist Scout, as well as deliver packages.
Ambassadors play a key role in keeping our commitment to exceed customer expectations, making sure customer orders are delivered on time.
Your feedback from working with Scout in the field and from customer interactions will be critical to solving real-world challenges that will transform our customers' delivery experiences.

General
Responsibilities:
Drive a delivery van and transport Scouts to and from the delivery area.
Interact in a positive and professional manner with community members while delivering products to customers.
Ability to think on your feet to solve challenges quickly, create alternative solutions and make quick decisions.
Work closely with technology and engineering teams to improve our technology and process.
Adhere to strict safety and quality standards on and off the road.
Act as the voice of Amazon to our customers, and assist with customer questions, comments, and/or concerns.
Follow up on customer requests or problems with a solution oriented approach.
Use handheld technology to deliver customer packages, manage delivery progress, and solve obstacles.
Sort and prepare a delivery route to meet customer promise.
Ensure delivery vehicle is clean, fueled, and in safe operating condition at all times.
May assist in training other team members.
Where appropriate, carry out delivery station activities including sortation and delivery van load out.
Able to stand and walk for up to 10 hours a day.
Flexibility is key; routes may vary day to day and operating procedures will evolve.
Set core schedule, but there may be adjustments including, additional hours and potential schedule changes depending on time of the year and peak seasons and other factors.
Eligibility Requirements:
Must possess a valid driver's license in the state of residence Must successfully complete a test for illegal drugs Must be 21 years of age or older Must be able to sufficiently meet US DOT standard of ability to read road signs and communicate with regulatory personnel Ability to perform the following functions, with or without reasonable accommodation:
o Climb in and out of van, walk on uneven surfaces as required to deliver packages in all weather conditionso Lift, bend, reach above the head, kneel, crouch, and/or stretch during shifts up to 8 hours longo Ability to lift up to 49 lbso Move up and down stairs.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
