Your Impact
In this role, you will extend our digital experiences exposed through our application in store digital experience and website ultimately extending this capability around the world. You will also work with store development/design, marketing and loyalty leadership in the US and the rest of the world and all key technology customers interact with on a daily basis to reach our customers where ever they are online, in our application, website and physical points of presence.
Since its early days, Starbucks has prided itself on fostering not only the personal connections between our customers. Think about the relationship you have with your barista in your favorite store as soon as they see you, they immediately start your favorite order, ask about how work is going, how kids' soccer game went, etc. Fast forward 40 years. Starbucks has taken those same principles of powering personalized relationships with our customers using technology including data science and machine learning algorithms to drive customized interactions at scale in our digital platforms, as well as our more traditional interactions. We are leveraging transaction data, customer preferences, weather, and other behavioral data generated by our customers to provide incredibly rich, engaging personalized experiences back to those same customers. We believe that our unique digital strategy will become among the most powerful drivers of our business and are looking for an Engineering leader to lead a team focused on the platform and integrations across our technology stack.

LEAD
Define, attract & retain a high-functioning, passionate team of 10 Partners
Provide hands-on, operational leadership and inspiration
Strategically collaborate and leverage cross-functional teams to build, test and iterate with cutting edge technology and capabilities that drive customer engagement and increase frequency and ticket price in a fail fast and learn manner
Coach, develop and inspire our next-generation of leaders through targeted assessment and coaching
INFLUENCE
Globally position Starbucks as an industry leader through your contributions of disrupting the traditional retail environment
Inspire and educate our most senior leaders of what is possible in defining the next 40 years of Starbucks
Demonstrate the highest levels of integrity and forge trusting, open, and productive working relationships throughout the organization

EXECUTE
Develop and deliver all business impacting emerging technology that shows up in our applications, website and other customer facing interactions ranging from Digital display boards and Drive through display boards to solve customer pain points
Strategize around market-specific barriers to growth, mobilizes resources to solve problems & drive priorities
Leverage planning cycles to ensure successful execution of brand plans
Elevate, coordinate and execute in fast track timelines
Qualifications:
10 years of software engineering experience
Ability to apply knowledge of multidisciplinary business principles and practices to achieve successful outcomes in cross-functional projects and activities.
Strong verbal and written communications skills are a must, as well as the ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations
Strong software engineering fundamentals
Strong interpersonal skills, building an effective network of relationships inside and outside Starbucks.
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing, as an advocate for technology solutions.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proven ability to design pragmatic solutions

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
