Be a part of this brand as the manager, creative design - merchandise for Starbucks Reserve and Starbucks Reserve Roastery. In this role, you will contribute to Starbucks success by managing the design and development needs across multiple categories to produce and curate new products that reflect the Starbucks Reserve Brand and customer's needs, while innovating best in class meaningful design.
Summary of Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
Manage the Global Reserve Product calendar
Manage the core and seasonal Product assortments across multiple store types including Starbucks Reserve Roasteries, Reserve Stores and Reserve Bars
Collaborates with management team to evolve overall product strategy
Research retail trends, competition, and technologies and present product and brand collaboration ideas
Oversee projects from concept and product benchmarking, through to prototyping, design engineering specification to part approval and final production
Partner with business team to ensure all product meets business briefs
Work with designers and engineers from our vendors and manufacturers through all aspects of the development and product implementation process, keeping brand aesthetic in mind
Ensure that all the final design details and pre-production samples are approved
Review and approve product specifications, final designs and final design samples
Identifies and communicates key responsibilities and practices to ensure the immediate team of direct reports promotes a successful attitude, confidence in leadership, and teamwork to achieve business results
Sets goals for the work group, developing organizational capability, and modeling how we work together
Provides partners with coaching, feedback, and developmental opportunities and building effective teams
Summary of Experience
Design experience with a design firm, advertising agency or marketing department (5 years)
Managing a design group in a graphic design environment (5 years)
Project management (3 years)
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
Ability to foster teamwork among diverse groups and disciplines
Ability to plan and manage schedules for multiple tasks
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, rapidly-changing environment
Knowledge of and ability to articulate creative development processes
