We're seeking a Software Development Manager to lead our Product Launch Automation initiatives. In particular, you will reinvent how we take our products from early concept to market, building systems that reinvent the process and tools to launch our growing product lines.
As a Software Development Manager you enjoy taking on hard, ambiguous problems and breaking them down to their simple parts. You are creative, driven, and highly productive. You are a great team player who will naturally elevate the performance of the people around you. You have a track record of quickly ramping up on complex technical systems, demonstrating strong judgment, and identifying big picture opportunities for our customers.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or related technical field

years of software development experience
2
years directly leading teams, responsible for individuals career development and performance evaluations
Experience using agile development practices (e.g SCRUM, Kanban, etc)
Hands on experience defining technical solutions and driving architectural design decisions;
Experience managing large scale software development projects end-to-end, from initial design through launch and ongoing support
Direct experience with supporting production systems (measuring system health and addressing operational issues)
Experience leading cross-functional teams to deliver projects with multiple dependencies and constraints
Experience driving a team of minimally 4 engineers to execute against yearly business goals that cross team boundaries
Preferred Qualifications
Direct management experience of cross functional teams (e.g. Software Engineers, Quality Engineers, Program Managers)
Strong track record of building team vision in a highly ambiguous space
Expertise in measuring and evaluate the health of systems you own and have an understanding of external dependencies
Creative problem solving abilities, can identify various technical solutions and trade-offs for a given business problem
Expertise in technical requirements gathering across diverse stakeholder groups
Experience within the Consumer Electronics space, specifically product development
Excellent project management skills; can manage large programs and communicate status to various audiences expertly
Ability to communicate effectively and establish credibility with technical and non-technical stakeholders including executive staff
