IT Services Consultant - Remote
Location:
Telecommuter (work from home when not traveling). prefer candidates residing in the Central or Western US - ideally west of the Mississippi and located near a major airport.

POSITION
Working closely with our Professional Services / Software Implementation team, you will drive the technical side of the software installation, upgrade and integration process. You will provide fee-based IT Services and related consulting expertise for TeamMate solutions for new and existing customers (corporate and government) both onsite at the customer's location and remotely. You will evolve into a technical knowledge expert regarding TeamMate products quickly becoming an invaluable resource for our customers adeptly solving their problems while identifying new enhancement opportunities. Reports to the Manager IT Services.
---Act as an internal consultant to customers regarding all TeamMate software products, becoming a trusted advisor for the customer with regard to the IT infrastructure side of their auditing practice.
---Provide IT consulting services to clients integrating the TeamMate solution into their environment. Consulting services include software installation & implementation in various databases and Windows platforms performed on-site or remotely utilizing various installation technologies.
---Participate in full life cycle of IT consulting projects.
---Review, clarify, and document business requirements and prepare a statement of work. Provide project application designs, identify deliverables and provide estimates.
---Identify skills necessary for the implementation, risks related to the project, and manage the mitigation of those risks.
---Work with customers to ensure quality and integrity of designs, including adherence to standards and project requirements outlined in the statement of work.
---Develop a deep understanding of Wolters Kluwer, Wolters Kluwer Tax and Accounting, TeamMate business initiatives and how TeamMate offerings fit into the client business landscape now and in the future.
---Assist sales professionals with high profile product demonstrations and other pre-sales support.
---Provide technical assistance to the TeamMate team at industry conferences and seminars.
---Assist in the development of internal and customer training materials; conduct internal and customer training.
---Stay current on emerging technologies and technology trends. Analyze new and emerging technologies and provide updates to team members.
---Perform special administrative and management tasks necessary for the effective management of the Technical Services organization.
---33% travel. Must be able to travel throughout the U.S. with an occasional international trip. Valid passport is required.
Qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS
---Bachelor's degree or higher in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related technology field plus 3 years related work experience. If non-degreed, then must have 5 years equivalent related work experience.

years software installation experience working with MS Windows client and server operating systems, databases and related infrastructure. Knowledge of user management, file system management, Active Directory, group policies, firewalls and registry usage strongly preferred.

years working with Microsoft Internet Information Server (IIS) with solid knowledge of IIS administration and operation.

years working with MS SQL database servers and possessing basic database administration skills including create, backup/restore, configuration, and usage as well as the ability to read and write SQL statements.

years working with application servers with knowledge of configuration and administration. Experience with both MS Terminal Services and Citrix a plus.
---Experience with virtualization technologies (like VMware and MS Virtual Server) a plus.
---Experience with push technologies (like SCCM) and knowledge of MSI a plus.
---Experience with scripting, like login scripts and other scripting abilities a plus.
---Experience with XML, XSLT, HTML and XPath a plus.
---Experience working with report generation software such as Crystal Reports, MicroStrategy, Cognos, or LogiXML a plus.
---Must have strong hardware and software troubleshooting skills.
---Must have a proven track record of successfully translating customer requirements into workable solutions.
---Proven experience in identifying and solving customer issues.
---Exemplary communication skills verbal and written with solid group presentation & training skills.
---Must be able to work independently and with a team, demonstrating strong qualities in project coordination.
---Must be self-motivated and possess excellent organization, planning, and time management skills.
---Willingness to work non-standard business hours adjusting work schedules as needed.
---Bilingual (English & Spanish) with the ability to speak conversational and business-level Spanish highly preferred.
---Experience working with audit management systems a plus.
---Experience working with business accounting programs or large enterprise systems such as SAP or PeopleSoft is a plus.
---U.S. Federal security clearance is a plus.
