Overview
The Analyst, Marketing Analytics is primarily responsible for direct mail, email, and online marketing campaign analysis, insights, and reporting for assigned clients. The role serves as a key Marketing Analytics team member in measuring performance of marketing initiatives and making proactive recommendations that deliver the key performance goals of the agency's clientele.
Responsibilities
Analyze marketing channel and website performance data for assigned projects and develop recommendations on ways to further optimize for performance
Build and distribute repeatable reports and performance metrics/insights on client marketing campaigns
Create custom reports and dashboards, audit performance on an on-going basis, and build automated reports where relevant.
Work cross-functionally to help inform the agency and clients on key learnings from data analysis
Qualifications
SKILL SET/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
Able to perform in a highly analytical role delivering actionable marketing campaign insights
Ability to deep dive into performance data on a daily basis, drawing conclusions and making optimization recommendations
Highly analytical, focused on informing performance optimization based on gathering and examining data from multiple sources
Excel guru when it comes to creating charts, pivot tables, and presentations on multi-channel campaign performance
Deep knowledge of web analytics tools (Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, Optimizely, etc.)
Ability to adapt to evolving business requirements and objectives in a fast-paced environment
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business or equivalent relevant experience
Minimum of 1-2 years experience working with consumer databases and exposure to data-driven marketing programs
High proficiency with SQL
Report creation experience with business intelligence tools (e.g. Cognos, Business Objects, MicroStrategy) preferred
Experience with Tableau is preferred
Experience with online tracking and reporting tools such as Google Analytics, DoubleClick DART, and Omniture is highly preferred
Advanced skills with Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint
