The Kindle Offline Retail team expands the distribution and availability of Kindle products by initiating and managing partnerships with offline retailers.
As a Product
manager
on the Kindle Retail team, you'll be responsible for working with cross functional teams and managing the tasks involved in both launching new products worldwide and new initiatives that expand offline sales volume. Specifically, this role manages the testing/validation of the Kindle demo program and merchandising elements for offline retail globally.

Responsibilities
Work with a broad cross-section of internal engineering, financial, product management, customer experience, marketing, content and operations teams to define requirements, plan delivery, design solutions and manage products through launch
Ensure product features and positioning align with business goals and operational capabilities across international markets. Work with the global teams to gather requirements and feedback in executing and improving the launches
Gather and help define requirements across global markets for various assets included but not limited to marketing, demo, in-store experience and work with the various teams to deliver the right assets in a timely manner
Work with the local and regional teams to ensure quality of the assets delivered by using best-in-field QA plans and practices. Work continuously with the cross functional teams to improve the positioning and quality of the assets to ensure best in class customer experience.
Effectively manage customer expectations and resolve conflicts that balance customer and company needs
Clarify and drive project commitments as well as establish and maintain clear chains of accountability by leading and facilitating meetings with key stakeholders, and reporting using centralized information repositories and/or email updates.
Anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make tradeoffs, balance the business needs versus technical and operational constraints; and encourage risk-taking behavior to maximize business benefit
Troubleshoot problems through issue isolation and deductive reasoning

Basic
Qualifications:
5
years product/program management experience in a fortune 500 company (preferably technology, CE, or retail)
Experience with project delivery for large, complex projects with international scope
Bachelor's Degree required
Preferred
Qualifications:
Excellent verbal and written interpersonal skills
Proven track record of taking ownership and driving results
Cross-team coordination, project management (scope, schedule, and cost/staffing), customer-facing skills
Both technically deep and business savvy enough to interface with all levels and disciplines within the organization
Proven analytical and quantitative skills
Proven process improvement skills to reduce lead times and defects
Demonstrated ability to solve problems and translate customer needs into business and product requirements
Demonstrated ability to coordinate projects across functional teams, including technical, engineering, marketing, design and merchandizing teams
High attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously
Composed, poised and professional demeanor
Willingness to roll up one's sleeves to get the job done
Well-timed tenacity and conviction
Past experience in offline channels with digital technologies, consumer products, media, and e-commerce
Past experience working with global teams
