We are actively seeking a highly skilled and experienced Litigation Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team. This role is integral to our team's success and involves working closely with attorneys and other paralegals to manage complex litigation matters. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of the litigation process and will be responsible for providing comprehensive support during all phases of the litigation lifecycle, from pre-litigation investigation through trial preparation and support.
Responsibilities:
1. Assist attorneys with all aspects of litigation, including discovery, court filings, and trial preparation.2. Conduct thorough legal research and fact-finding investigations to assist in case development.3. Draft, review, and revise legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests, and responses.4. Prepare and organize exhibits, witness materials, and trial binders for use during hearings, depositions, and trials.5. Coordinate and manage document production and discovery processes, ensuring compliance with deadlines.6. Liaise with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and expert witnesses, maintaining professionalism and discretion at all times.7. Utilize legal software and technology tools for case management, document review, and trial presentation.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Litigation Paralegal in civil litigation, preferably in a fast-paced law firm environment.2. Paralegal certification or equivalent education and experience.3. Proficiency in hearing and trial preparation, including the ability to manage and organize large volumes of documents and complex data. Candidates must have experience assisting attorneys at trial. 4. Strong knowledge of federal and state court rules, procedures, and protocols.5. Exceptional research skills, with proficiency in Westlaw, LexisNexis, or other legal research platforms.6. High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management software.7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.8. Ability to work independently and collaboratively, managing multiple deadlines in a high-pressure environment.9. Strong problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.10. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
