RL Embedded BSP Engineering manager
The MROS (Mixed Reality Operating system) Base platform team brings new platforms and SoCs to life.
This team will partner with Silicon and Electrical in influencing and designing our next generation VR devices using operating systems based on Android.
This team is responsible for bringing up the core system devices and OS features for the platforms based on Qualcomm for MR (Mixed Reality) and also sustain the existing MR platforms, build power and thermal management controls, integrate and build the connectivity stack on our devices.
RL Embedded BSP Engineering manager ResponsibilitiesBuild and lead teams to deliver BSPs for Mixed reality productsIntegrate, customize, optimize BSP across RL technology verticalsCollaborate across electrical, silicon, SW, user experience, and firmware teams to define and build software componentsProvide technical leadership and guidance to team members and project peersSet clear expectations and create a positive work environment based on accountability, in collaboration with the engineering and management teamsBuild development processes that allow for rapid development and experimentation while maintaining a high quality product.
Understand and drive implementation of quality SW development practices across teams and projects.
Minimum QualificationsMS or BS in Computer Science or Electrical/Electronics Engineering or equivalentWorking experience with using standard software development frameworks (Agile, Kanban, XP)Experience working with remote teams.

years expertise in reviewing schematics, developing and shipping BSPs (Board support packages) for consumer electronics products5
years of experience in directly managing and leading teams.
Experience building a team to scale across multiple products.
