In this role, you will be responsible for the power and performance of one or more products. The position requires the technical depth and expertise to work on the different elements of the stack from SOC, to the platform, to the software stack, to communicating with the external world. You will work with the architecture teams in the definition of the product and set its power and performance targets, develop automation and infrastructure tools to assess power and performance of the product, bring up new hardware and debug for power and performance from software down to the state transition of each hardware block. Strong problem-solving skills and effective communication are critical for success in this role.Education & ExperienceM.S., or Ph.D. in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experienceAdditional Requirements- Experience in automating phone/Mac testing- Demonstrated innovative and creative thinking capabilities; be patent savvy- C/C++/ObjC/Swift coding/Python experience a plusPay & BenefitsAt Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $131,500.00 and $243,300.00, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
