Perm candidates of any OTHER providence facility ( NON SWEDISH ) are eligible for a travel contract if they have been separated for at least 3 months. All Swedish facilities honor active compact license.
First Time Traveler OK
Minimum experience required-2 years. Screen for less than 2 years or no experience with C-Sections. SCREEN IF INTERMEDIATE AWHONN ONLY For manager Approval
Float required to Postpartum unit.
High Risk Antepartum- 6 weeks to 41 weeks
PTL, previa, preeclampsia, diabetes, hypertension, prom, twins, substance use disorder in pregnancy.
Care of fetal demise or loss of patients both antepartum and postpartum, postpartum mother with baby in NICU, no newborns on this unit.
Unit Details:
- Support of amnio or sterile spec exam at the bedside
- PCA Pumps
- PICC/Central Lines, Syringe Pumps
- Heparin, Insulin, Magnesium Sulfate
scrub requirements : any color but when floated to the L&D units scrubs are provided
Certifications:
- AWHONN Advanced, BLS, NRP (REQUIRED)
- ACLS (PREFERRED)
SKILLS
Work Setting:
- High Risk Antepartum
Antepartum Care and Procedures:
- Assist with sterile speculum exam (effacement, dilation, station, presentation)
IV Therapy/Phlebotomy:
- Maintain central lines (CVC / PICC)
Medication & Administration:
- Anticoagulants, Insulin drips, Magnesium Sulfate therapy
Labor and Delivery Management:
Circulate for C-section
#Tier3 Travel Compliance
All candidates who were a previous perm employee of ANY Providence affiliated facility must be separated from the health system for a min of 3 months to qualify for a travel position. No exceptions.
Floating: All travelers are expected to float to another unit within their scop of practice if needed. The facility has a designated float team that floats first however, in the event there is a need at another campus travelers will float first before perm staff. All facilities are within a 40-mile radius or less. In the event that the traveler needs to float, it their responsibility to find transportation to the facility they re floated to. Traveler s refusal to float may result in termination of assignment and/or forfeiture of guaranteed hours.
