Job Description:
HPE is looking for an excellent senior development engineer who can design and develop Network software.
What you'll do:
Design, develop, and integrate features and capabilities for HPE's Slingshot networking product lineWork with development, build, test, and CI groups to integrate software into our test and release processDevelop domain expertise, work cross-functionallyPrototype / design / develop software for diagnostics, error reporting, telemetry, and utilities Document architectures, procedures, and processes in use and contribute to the improvement of the processEvaluate and recommend new technologies and use-cases to bring into the platformWork on advanced path finding initiatives collaborating across teams and partnersCollaborate with customers and support staff to improve documentation, and tools.
What you need to succeed:
BS or advanced degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent industry experience.
Minimum of 8 years of experience in networking softwareUnderstanding of High Performance Computing architectures, RDMA networking and the HPC industry a plusProficiency in Unix programming, Linux network stack, and Linux kernel modulesExperience with Ethernet/IP networkingExcellent C programming skillsIn-depth knowledge of data networking (IP, Ethernet, and related technologies)Ability to work well in a cooperative development team with a commitment to sound software engineering principles.
Good written and verbal communications skills.
Success working in a fast-paced, changing environment; strong sense of urgencyGreat to Haves:
Experience with InfiniBand interfaces is a plusExperience in systems performance analysis and tuning is a plusKnowledge of operating system architecture, networking and/or file systems is a plus.
Ability to research new and emerging technologiesAdditional Skills:
