Responsibilities:
Manage all facets of pre-litigation cases concerning personal injury, including communicating with clients, supervising cases, and engaging in settlement negotiations; Prepare settlement demand packages and negotiate with insurance companies; Give legal counsel to plaintiffs in personal injury lawsuits, safeguarding their rights and chasing reasonable reimbursement for physical injury, medical bills, and other related losses; Assemble and scrutinize a variety of legal documents, such as motions, responses to discovery requests, settlement contracts, and any other correspondence related to the case; Facilitate resolution discussions with other parties, insurance providers, and defense lawyers; Collaborate with a team of support staff to ensure clients are given the best results possible.
Draft correspondence and communicate with clients, and opposing counsel Organize and maintain case files, including electronic records and physical documents Review medical records, police reports, and other relevant documents Stay up-to-date with changes in laws and regulations related to personal injury Preparing motions, oppositions to motions, and reply briefs, and attend hearings before judicial officers in state and federal courts and arbitration forums; Preparing for and take depositions; Preparing discovery requests, discovery responses, and subpoenas; Support first-chair attorneys before, during and after trial, preparing pretrial documents, motions and deposition summaries; Conduct legal research and gather relevant case information; Reviewing and analyzing documents produced by opposing counsel and documents provided by clients; Skills:
Strong negotiation skills to advocate for clients' interests Excellent research abilities to gather relevant case information Proficient in legal administrative tasks, such as drafting documents and organizing case files Ability to assist attorneys in litigating personal injury cases Strong legal drafting skills for preparing pleadings and other legal documents Proficient in conducting legal research using resources such as Lexis-Nexis Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel
Qualifications:
Possess a Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school Active/Licensed attorney in good standing with the WA State Bar (preferred) Prior experience in personal injury Must be bilingual - Spanish Must have strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Collaborative team player who can work effectively with colleagues and staff Positive attitude In depth understanding of personal injury laws, regulations, and legal procedures Demonstrated success in personal injury cases, including significant settlements and verdicts Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal research software We offer competitive compensation including bonus opportunities.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
