KOMO/KUNS is looking for a creative full-time News Photojournalist. We are seeking someone who can see beyond the lens and bring back compelling stories. The candidate should have 3 years of ENG/News experience with a network affiliate news organization. You will cover day to day general, in-depth features and investigative assignments. We are shooting with new Sony 400 high definition cameras and editing using Avid Media Composer on Laptops. Having a great attitude, a passion for story telling, and a being a problem solver is essential. The shift currently open is for a Monday-Friday 2:
30am - 11am shift.


Requirements and
Qualifications:



  • At least 3 years of shooting experience and technical knowledge of editing and photo equipment

  • Team-player who can produce good stories under tight deadlines

  • Must have valid driver's license, good driving record and be able to operate ENG news vehicles

  • Ability to edit and shoot general assignment stories, lives shots and natural sound packages

  • Must be able to lift and carry between 25 and 50 pounds on a regular basis

The hourly compensation range for this role is $29.00 to $41.09. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate's relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location. Full time positions are eligible for benefits that include participation in a retirement plan, life and disability insurance, health, dental and vision plans, flexible spending accounts, 15 paid vacation days, 2 paid personal days, 9 paid holidays, 40 hours of paid sick leave, parental leave, and employee stock purchase plan.


Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
