We are looking talented M&P Engineers to join our growing Lunar Transportation team and build a strong M&P Engineering division dedicated to safely and successfully delivering the Lunar objectives at Blue Origin.
You will work directly with NASA and our National Team Partners as part of the Human Landing System (HLS) Sustaining Lunar Development (SLD) program.
You will play a key role in developing the Lunar Transportation system that will return humans to the Moon and extend human presence permanently beyond the bounds of Earth.

Responsibilities:
Broad materials & processes support for metallic and/or composite materials including:
forging, casting, forming, extrusion, plating, coating, friction welding, brazing, anodization, and passivation; solid and sandwich laminates.
Support design, analysis, materials selection, process development, and M&P qualification for space vehicles Review production drawing for large complex assemblies systematically, documenting the review to the established requirementsResponsible for M&P signatory release of engineering drawings for parts and assembliesLead and coordinate internal and external M&P efforts, including development of specifications, supplier qualification, First Article Inspection, mechanical testing, and customer-facing updatesContribute to the development of internal engineering and quality processes to standardize and accelerate material evaluation, implementation, and qualificationWork with cross-functional teams within the Lunar organization and other business units.
Qualifications:
Minimum of a B.
S.
degree in Aerospace, Material Science, Mechanical, Manufacturing or Chemical Engineering or related field.

Years of demonstrated M&P Engineering experience on a production flight programExperience in materials and manufacturing process review and selection, development, and qualification for aerospace applicationsDemonstrated experience developing and executing test plans for analysis and qualification of components, materials, and processesFamiliarity with standard methods for testing mechanical properties of aerospace grade (either metallic or composite) materialsExperience organizing and managing materials and process-related data in a company accessible databaseExperience with design and qualification for at least one of the following areas:
welding qualification, metallic inserts, fasteners, EMI & EMC, corrosion, flammability and FST, solid or sandwich laminate composite structuresAbility to travel to support development and testing opportunities at other Blue Origin and vendor sites.
