Intern - Economics (STRUC), Joint Ads Consumer Optimization Team
Our group takes on big bet, cross organizational challenges that can materially impact the business and improve customer experience.
The group enjoys tackling ambiguous and challenging problems while maintaining a fun and engaging atmosphere.
In this role, you'll be working tightly with economists, applied scientists and engineers in our group and our partner product groups.
These are full-time positions at 40 hours per week, with compensation being awarded on an hourly basis.
You will learn how to build data sets and perform applied econometric analysis collaborating with economists, scientists, and product managers.
These skills will translate well into writing applied chapters in your dissertation and provide you with work experience that may help you with placement.
Due to the highly ambiguous nature of the work, its possible there could be a publication to come out of the internship.

Key job responsibilitiesIn this role, you will partner with economists, applied scientists and data scientists in the team to conduct research based on economic theory and analyze data using econometric methods.
The analysis will help to understand interesting questions related to ads business and traffic growth.
A day in the lifeResearch and analyze data using a variety of software programs.
Utilize advanced, mathematical and statistical techniques to report, measure and forecast current and projected performance under a variety of economic scenarios.
Interpret data and report conclusions, and present them to management and use data analysis to support and improve decisions.
Have fun in a collaborative environment.
About the teamYour direct team is exclusively economists but we partner broadly with product groups and other science teams that include engineers, applied scientists, data scientists and business owners including many executives.
We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:
Los Angeles, CA, USA Seattle, WA, USA Simi Valley, CA, USA.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
