Flynn and Associates, PLLC Flynn and Associates, PLLC Seattle, WA Seattle, WA Full-time Full-time $30 - $40 an hour $30 - $40 an hour 1 day ago 1 day ago 1 day ago JOB DETAILS Like kids, teaching, sailing, and skiing? Do you know how to make order out of chaos? This is the role for you! We're the Flynn family.
I am a lawyer by trade and run multiple enterprises along with my partner in crime.
We are full-time professionals and we are proud parents of three energetic kids aged 2, 9, and 13.
At this point in our professional careers, we desperately need some help keeping up with the kiddos.
This is a no task too big or too small role and you're someone who can do a bit of everything; hanging with a precocious two-year-old, taking the kids to/from school and activities, tidying up, helping with homework 4-5 days per week, and running errands.
We have a vehicle that is free for you to use, and our kids wouldn't be disappointed with a spur-of-the-moment trip to the zoo or lake.
You love to work with kids and are happy filling in for us on many parental duties while we're working.
Here's why we'll think of you as our very own domestic superhero About the Hiring Family We're in Seattle's Greenlake area.
The children's schedule is split between two households.
The oldest child is currently splitting her time week on and off.
The younger two are on a 2-2-3 schedule (2 days mom, 2 days dad, 3 days mom, 2 days dad, 2 days mom, 3 days dad, and so on).
Most days with the kids will look something like this:
You'll spend a lot of time with our two-year-old, who is mostly potty trained.
We'd like to prioritize her learning, exploring, and building her creativity and cognitive skills.
This could be reading books, playing in the park, visiting the zoo or aquarium, and more.
After picking the 9-year-old and 12-year-old up from school, the kids should burn off some energy with a quick trip to the playground or for a run/walk around the neighborhood before settling into doing their homework.
They will need aid in completing homework and help finding ways to keep them motivated.
We'll high-five you if You instill healthy habits in the kids, balancing fun activities with responsibility - they should help with chores such as meal prep and cleaning up.
You're a nap-time ninja who can convince even the most stubborn toddler to rest.
You help the children learn to treat others kindly by sitting them down after an argument and teaching them how to vocalize frustrations without being hurtful.
You don't flinch when you are faced with tween tantrums or Swiftie shrieks.
KEEPING THE HOUSE (& FAMILY) SHIPSHAPE! We need someone to take charge of the household chores:
tidying and organizing the house, unloading/loading the dishwasher, doing the laundry, shopping for groceries, preparing meals, watering houseplants, and running errands would make us tear up with gratitude.
Help us keep track of who goes where with calendar management:
set appointments and schedule activities.
Some activities need to be signed up for far in advance, so keeping track of those dates is very important, too.
We love to travel as well, so planning trips may be an occasional task.
REQUIREMENTS & SKILLS We cannot stress the importance of flexibility and availability in this position.
We hope there is a commitment from you in making this a long-term role and would love someone with 5 years of experience working as a nanny and/or personal assistant.
