7 Seattle, WA Seattle, WA Contract Contract From $20 an hour From $20 an hour Summary/Objective One Guard Inspections is a Texas-based vehicle inspection company with a network of thousands of certified inspectors covering the United States and Canada.
One Guard serves clients in the secondary vehicle market, including third-party warranty providers, arbitration inspections for vehicle auction providers, and vehicle manufacturers seeking to validate warranty claims using third-party inspectors.
We are looking for experienced Automotive Technicians who can work independently, set their own schedule in a timely manner and is essentially their own boss.
This is a independent contract position (1099) remote-based that consists of working with the dispatch and review team on a daily basis to complete inspections.
This is a Monday through Friday schedule during normal business hours.
The primary function of this inspection includes inspecting automobiles for mechanical failures of all types including but not limited to engine, transmission, suspension, and electrical.

Essential Functions This position entails traveling to automotive repair facilities and inspecting automobiles for mechanical failures of all types including but not limited to engine, transmission, suspension and electrical.
Minimum
Qualifications:
At least three (3) years of car dealership experience OR experience in an aftermarket repair facility as an Automotive Technician.
Proficient in identification & description of failures to engines, transmissions and other various mechanical components.
General knowledge of website navigation and ability to compose a comprehensive written report of vehicle inspections.
Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written, coupled with excellent listening skills and a positive and energetic presence.
Basic computer skills.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast- paced environment.
Must have their own vehicle for transportation.
Must have hi-def digital camera to take photos.
Modern smart phones are acceptable.
Must have computer and internet to upload photos and reports.
Must have automobile failure experience and ability to describe failures to engines, transmissions and other various mechanical components.
Ability to identify a failure demonstrated and document it using our secure online portal.
Preferred Qualifications/Skills:
Automotive warranty claims adjuster and/or service advising experience is considered a plus.
Self-motivated, high energy, a customer-focused perspective and posses high attention to detail.
In depth understanding of automotive industry and various manufacturer acronyms and lingo.
ASEs, and/or Factory/trade school certifications is considered a plus.
