The AWS Networking team is looking for a Network Development Engineer to join our Network Fabric Engineering (NFE) team.
As a Network Development Engineer, you will be responsible for building, deploying and scaling the Amazon networks that support AWS, customers, and other business units, across multiple global datacenters.
AWS Core Networking is focused on building Data Centers and the network that allows Data Centers to function efficiently.
We own the solutions that allow racks to be aggregated and Data Centers to be interconnected.
Core Networking's goal is to balance efficiency, performance and reliability to allow customers access to their applications and data.

Key job responsibilitiesNetwork Development Engineers perform high quality network and/or systems operations, deployments, scaling, technology refresh, sustaining engineering, best practices application, optimization, internal/external customer interactions, and produce appropriate technical documentation.
o Create and implement changes on the network.
o Work closely with our automation teams in defining the tools that allow us to scale at a higher volume.
o Lead network projects in the areas of network sustaining engineering, network deployment/implementation, network scaling, technology refresh, best practices application, and/or network optimization.
o Sustain Amazon Web Services' next generation networks for significant AWS customers by providing critical network support to diagnose, mitigate impact, and resolve large-scale networking events.
o Operate and troubleshoot network routing, interconnectivity, platforms, performance, and configurations issues; including necessary low level application interaction, Unix systems, and new age networking software tools.
o Drive and support innovation from Top of Rack to the Network Border and everything in between.
o Partner with our broader Network/Infrastructure organization in the areas of network engineering, configurations standards, and tools.
o Work closely with our Network/Systems/Software Engineering teams to ensure fast, smooth roll-out of new designs and products, as well as assist with deployment and sustaining of networking software tools.
o Maintain standards across the networking toolset and ensure that we are fully compliant to those standards and policies.
o Deliver simple, sustainable and repeatable solutions and processes.
o Collaborate with highest tier escalation engineers/resolvers.
o Create and review documentation and process regarding network implementation/deployments, recurring issues, new standard operating procedures, knowledge transfer material, etc.
A day in the life Work in a 24x7 team on call rotation, with ability to drive into workplace for critical events/needs.
o Manage customers during problem resolution and operating efficiently under pressure.
o Sit at the computer during scheduled work hours with appropriate breaks while maintaining a high level of alertness and attention to detail.
o Travel to data center/network sites and Amazon/customer offices as needed.
About the teamAWS NFE (Network Fabric Engineering) owns datacenter network services that provide unconstrained connectivity to our customers, such as EC2, EBS, S3 and Amazon CDO Services.
They own the networks internal to the datacenters end to end, including scaling and operational functions, for both traditional datacenters.
They also own newer AWS offerings such as Outposts and Local Zones.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
