Amazon's Worldwide Consumer & Operations (WWC Ops) Employee Relations (ER) team is looking for a customer obsessed Business Intelligence Engineer (BIE) with a demonstrated passion for building innovative new tools and processes for our Associates, site leaders, ER team and senior leadership.
Candidates must have a successful record of building net new reporting infrastructures that support a global team at scale.
The Business Intelligence Engineer will play a critical role in advancing our mission.
You will join a tight-knit team of ER professionals, including former HR, operational, program and legal leaders.
You will be supporting Amazon's Worldwide Operations portfolio, and have direct impact on the daily work of over 1.

Amazonians.
Our projects span multiple organizations and require coordination of experimentation, economic and causal analysis, forecasting, dashboarding and predictive machine learning tools.
You will act as the business-facing subject matter expert for data manipulation, data visualization, feature adoption and the development of the ER reporting ecosystem.
In this role, you will be a technical expert as you create the ER reporting systems that will track our site, operations and ER health indicators while tracking our impacts to key performance indicators.
You will work on mission critical problems, building unique, high quality, reliable, accurate, consistent, and architecturally sound reports/analyses that are aligned with our business needs.
Key job responsibilities Own the design, development, and maintenance of scalable solutions for foundational business metrics, reports, analyses and dashboards.
Translate basic business problem statements into analysis requirements to deliver astute data powered insights.
Use analytical and statistical rigor to answer business questions and drive business decisions.
Find and create ways to measure the workforce experience at multiple levels in the organization.
Write queries and have in-depth knowledge of the data available in area of responsibility.
Pull the data needed with standard query syntax; periodically identify more advanced methods of query optimization.
Recognize and adopt best practices in reporting and analysis:
data integrity, design, analysis, validation, and documentation.
Troubleshoot operational data-quality issues and review/audit existing ETL jobs and queries.
Recommend improvements to back-end data sources for increased accuracy and simplicity.
About the teamThe Employee Relations team is responsible for reducing employee experience defects in the WWC Ops business by deploying programs to empower the next generation of high-performing, Associate-centric frontline leaders.
Our programs are global in scale and we continually innovate to transform and improve the employee experience.
We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
