Sensory Analyst
Job Sensory Analyst Seattle, WA Pay $35/hr to $39/hr Duties and Conduct and lead quantitative and qualitative sensory panels (i.
e.
shelf life, acceptance, focus groups) Manage existing panels including scheduling, attendance, and general recruitment Review and perform data entry ensuring accuracy and logical consistency Prepare standard grocery products and references as necessary for sensory evaluation and training Manage sample receiving, storage, and handling for a variety of grocery products (frozen, refrigerated, ambient) Perform basic statistical analysis Report findings (written and verbal) from sensory panels to stakeholders Translate technical findings to non-technical audiences Work with sensory program manager to educate internal stakeholders on sensory science Assist in recruiting, screening, selecting, and training new panelists for sensory panels as needed Requirements and Qualifications BS Chemistry, Psychology or similar scientific field.
2 years' experience working in the sensory science field or cross-functionally with sensory science Must have knowledge of sensory science as it relates to consumer packaged goods products Must be detail oriented and extremely organized Must possess excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and group leadership qualities Must have in-depth understanding of sensory science and related business processes Preferences BS/MS Food Science, Sensory Science preferred Qualitative research moderator experience a plus Consumer research or Central Location Testing with third party agencies experience a plus Experience working with XLStat, Qualtrics, SurveyMonkey, RedJade, Compusense, EyeQuestion a plus A passion for food and strong culinary skills are a plus General understanding of product development, manufacturing and commercialization a plus Recommended Skills Business Processes Cladding (Construction) Communication Consumer Packaged Goods Data Entry Leadership Apply to this job.
