We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented professional to join our team! Job Overview:
In this role, you will be responsible for administering and developing HR-related processes, working directly with clients to support their HR functions, and assisting with various administrative tasks.
The ideal candidate will be flexible and adaptable, possess or desire to learn general HR principles, and have both excellent customer service skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
This role is remote - candidates must reside in the greater Puget Sound area and be available for occasional visits to client worksites.
The incumbent will need to be able to work successfully in a remote environment.
Responsibilities:
HR Process Administration With the guidance of our Senior HR Consultants, design, implement, and administer HR processes and procedures to help ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements (e.
g.
, onboarding and offboarding procedures/checklists, template forms, etc.
).
Conduct entrance and exit interviews with new and terminating client employees.
Administer HR compliance programs including EEO-1 filings, OSHA logs and reporting, I-9 and E-Verify compliance, arrange client employment poster orders, etc.
Support leave of absence processing (e.
g.
, drafting paperwork, tracking leaves).
Administer unemployment and workers' compensation claims on behalf of specific clients.
Conduct market compensation benchmarking.
Proofread documents such as Employee Handbooks, job descriptions and memos for grammar, punctuation, formatting, etc.
Client Interaction Along with the HR Consultants, collaborate with clients to understand their HR needs and provide guidance and support accordingly.
Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external clients to ensure smooth communication and effective HR service delivery.
May conduct regular check-ins with clients to assess satisfaction and identify areas for improvement.
HR Generalist Functions Stay abreast of changing HR-related compliance requirements, such as related to Form I-9, E-Verify, onboarding requirements, OSHA logs, EEO-1, etc.
Assist in recruitment efforts by screening resumes, conducting phone screens, arranging interviews, conducting reference checks, drafting offer letters, and administering pre-employment screenings (when applicable).
Manage the new hire onboarding process for select clients, and conduct new employee orientations on HR policies, procedures, and benefits.
Administer the HRIS system and benefits eligibility for select clients as appropriate.
Administrative Support Update and maintain client lists, client information sheets, client folders and file organization, and manage other administrative documents.
Handle day-to-day HR administrative tasks, such as file management, organization of records, data entry, assist with preparation of reports and presentations, etc.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in HR or a related administrative function.
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills and ability to work with a wide range of client temperaments.
Able to be flexible, resilient, and adaptable - at times following detailed written instructions, and at other times coming up with a new process on the fly.
Possess terrific follow-up skills with clients and colleagues, to ensure tasks are completed in a pleasant yet thorough manner.
Able to work successfully independently and in a remote environment.
Strong communication, exceptional organization, and ability to handle data with confidentiality Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with HR software and technology solutions.
Knowledge of HR principles, practices, and employment laws.
