Other duties, responsibilities, and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without noticeTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorilyDevelop an appropriate procurement strategy to maximize customer satisfaction at the lowest possible costOptimize Inventory levels to minimize carrying costs while meeting customer demandsForecast and anticipate demand to ensure adequate stock and timely delivery of productsIdentify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers, negotiate contracts and terms to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely deliveryMaintain relationships with suppliers and vendors, managing performance and resolving issues effectivelyOversee the movement of goods from suppliers to the organization and from the organization to customer and retail locationsManage distribution processes to ensure efficient and cost-effective operationsMonitor and control inventory levels, ensuring appropriate stock to meet demandsImplement inventory tracking systems and methodologies to optimize stock levelsContinuously analyze supply chain processes to identify inefficiencies and implement improvementsImplement best practices to streamline operations and reduce costs when possibleIdentify and mitigate potential risks in the supply chain, such as disruptions, price fluctuations, or supplier issuesPrepare and present reports, data analysis, and metrics related to procurement activitiesIse data to make informed decisions and recommendations for improvementLead, mentor, and manage a team involved in all organizational procurement functionsAssist in other duties as assigned Previous Experince Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a related field or job functionMinimum 5 years of purchasing experience, preferably for multi-location retail operation or 5 years of Sales experience from a distributor to a retail operationComprehensive knowledge of building products Preferred Experience in managing and developing people to achieve high levels of success and business goalsProven success at building long-term relationships with vendors, customers, and co-workersTechnical Skills Proficiency in Microsoft Suite applicationsStrong negotiation and networking skillsExcellent analytical, planning, and organizational skillsAbility to gather and analyze data, discuss financial statements, demand forecasts and other modelsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsPhysical Demands Mobility:
Purchasing Manager should be able to move around the office space comfortably, walking between departments or areas as needed throughout the dayLifting:
