What You'll DoThis is an exciting opportunity for a Global Trade Compliance Lead Manager to join the Cisco Legal team, within the Trade Legal and Compliance team.
This team is responsible for global trade regulations globally and across the business.
We are looking for a curious, creative teammate.
You will be responsible for:
Leading a team of professionals responsible for transaction screening, including, but not limited to, restricted party screening, geolocation screening, end-use screening and export authorizations' screeningDesigning, developing and executing export and sanctions screening compliance reports, policies, practices, and controls for a wide variety of sales, service and other transactionsHandling inquiries and critical issues from Cisco personnel related to transaction screening status, results, clearances; and deciding when raising an issue is appropriate to senior management and/or trade counselEnsure internal IT tools are running efficiently and optimally to verify compliant transactions are reviewed at the speed of businessMonitoring KRIs, critical metrics, complex data analysis, screening analytics for regular and ad hoc reporting on the status of the screening program and overall health of the transaction screening systems, tools and processesEnsuring team develops and maintains comprehensive, current and high-quality program documentation that clearly outlines current controls and compliance standardsRepresenting the team, developing and managing relationships with various internal functional groups to understand and implement business support against Cisco's sanctions risk-assessment process, including participating in periodic reviews of screening procedures, reports, and systems to identify risk or deficiencies and ensure effectiveness of our compliance screening programSupporting ongoing design, testing, adoption and implementation of new and/or updated transaction screening tools, including technology software and systems, training programs and support developing associated processesStaying up to date with regulatory changes and industry leading trends for best-in-class transaction screening operationsWho You'll Work WithYou will be joining Cisco's Trade Legal and Compliance group, reporting to the Leader of our Trade Support Services group.
Within this group, you'll lead the team responsible for transaction screening across all Cisco sales and service transactions.
You'll support other teams within some of Cisco's largest working groups to enable and ensure trade compliance execution through our various supply chains.
You'll be working cross-functionally with various sales and service teams as well as with customers directly.
The Trade Legal & Compliance team is a global group of trade compliance professionals with a diverse set of backgrounds and passions -we adopt new ways of thinking, while helping Cisco ensure our products are delivered amenably with our customers' needs in mind.
Who You AreYour Minimum
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree with 12 years' experience and/or Master's degree with 8 years experience delivering dynamic business minded solutions within a trade compliance, finance, law, supply chain, and/or logistics role, as well as strong knowledge and experience developing processes associated with trade (export & import) regulations.
Experience leading and forming teams of compliance professionalsAbility to train team on the nuances of transaction screening processes and protocols to ensure they are equipped to handle their roles optimally and efficientlyKnowledge of how to develop, administer and document transaction screening alert review procedures, processes and programs and training staff responsible for implementationExperience conducting know your customer due diligence, risk-assessments, investigations, due diligence of sanctions alerts, including keeping records of analysis and alert dispositionFamiliarity with Enterprise Resource Planning screening software tools (e.
g.
, Oracle Global Trade Management, Global Trade Solution)Knowledge of U.
S.
sanctions regulations and programs (geographic and list-based), EU Sanctions regulations, the BIS Entity List and other applicable denied party regimes and associated risks and prohibited activitiesDesired Skills and Characteristics:
