Responsibilities:

Optimize Inventory levels to minimize carrying costs while meeting customer demands.
Forecast and anticipate demand to ensure adequate stock and timely delivery of products.
Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers, negotiate contracts and terms to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery.
Maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors, managing performance and resolving issues effectively.
Oversee the movement of goods from suppliers to the organization and from the organization to customer and retail locations.
Manage distribution processes to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations.
Monitor and control inventory levels, ensuring appropriate stock to meet demands.
Implement inventory tracking systems and methodologies to optimize stock levels.
Continuously analyze supply chain processes to identify inefficiencies and implement improvements.
Implement best practices to streamline operations and reduce costs when possible.
Identify and mitigate potential risks in the supply chain, such as disruptions, price fluctuations, or supplier issues.
Prepare and present reports, data analysis, and metrics related to procurement activities.
Ise data to make informed decisions and recommendations for improvement.
Lead, mentor, and manage a team involved in all organizational procurement functions.
Assist in other duties as assignedPrevious Experince Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience in a related field or job function.
Minimum 5 years of purchasing experience, preferably for multi-location retail operation or 5 years of Sales experience from a distributor to a retail operation.
Comprehensive knowledge of building products Preferred Experience in managing and developing people to achieve high levels of success and business goals.
Proven success at building long-term relationships with vendors, customers, and co-workersTechnical Skills Proficiency in Microsoft Suite applications.
Strong negotiation and networking skills.
Excellent analytical, planning, and organizational skills.
Ability to gather and analyze data, discuss financial statements, demand forecasts and other models.
Excellent written and verbal communication skillsPhysical Demands Mobility:
Purchasing Manager should be able to move around the office space comfortably, walking between departments or areas as needed throughout the day.
Lifting:
Occasional lifting of office supplies or materials (up to 25 pounds) might be required when restocking supplies or organizing storage areas.
Sitting/Standing:
Ability to sit at a desk for extended periods while working on a computer, conducting meetings, or performing administrative tasksThe role may also require standing during meetings or when interacting with staff or visitors.
