This position will wear many hats.
Your main priority will be to set up, cook and prepare all banquets.
This will include all food preparation, set up of banquet rooms, service and breakdown.
You may also be our breakfast cook some days, and possibly be the second cook on a dinner shift.
If you do not have previous cook experience this job is probably not for you.
Ideally, our supervisor will have FOH experience also, and know how to make coffee at our Starbucks stand, greet and serve guests at breakfast, and potentially serve/bartend in the evening when needed (rare).
No matter which shift you are working, you will also be expected to help with running food, stocking breakfast buffet, prep for dinner or the following shift, touching tables and talking with our guests, assisting servers as needed, running of reports on MICROS, cleaning, etc.
Hours can be as early as 430am, and go as late as 10pm.
Typical day would probably be in the 6a-2p range.
30-40 hours per week, overtime is a very rare occurrence.
When you fill in as barista or server, the tips you make are yours.
Tips for banquets are sometimes included.
Pay range for this position is $24 to $26 per hour.
Supervise the food & beverage staff to ensure the department operates efficiently and business goals are achieved.
Attend appropriate meetings and communicate effectively with all responsible staff to ensure guest and employee needs are met.
Be present on the restaurant floor during peak business hours.
Responsible for opening and closing the restaurant as needed.
Accountable for guest satisfaction by ensuring food and beverage service standards are met and guest needs are responded to in a timely manner.
Resolve guest complaints in courteous and friendly manner, focusing on service recovery when applicable.
Work side by side with staff to train and model appropriate guest service standards.
Responsible for assisting in interviewing, hiring, and developing associates.
Evaluate staff performance and coaches to ensure standards are met.
Responsible for training all associates and ensuring training records are maintained, particularly safe alcohol service training.
Ensure all company, brand, and department-specific training requirements are met.
Conduct routine inspections of food and beverage operations to maintain quality food, beverage and kitchen/restaurant standards per CSM, brand, local, state and federal regulations.
Ensure a clean and safe work environment, and follow all CSM's procedures for guest/employee incidents.
This job does require a background check, current liquor card and food worker card.
Serve Safe would be a bonus.
