Job Title:
partner (employee) data analyst Job Summary and Mission This position contributes to Starbucks success by using partner (employee) data to measure the progress against achieving business objectives and defining analytic or operational use cases for future insight.
This position works cross-functionally with analysts, engineers and SMEs across Starbucks Technology, Shared Services and PRO to develop and maintain new ways to help clients assess the health of their business and stay on top of key trends.
Monitors end-to-end data flow and ensures resolution of operational issues related to data management.
Reviews business processes to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.
As a partner data analyst, you will:
o Support the implementation of PRO (HR) programs to ensure the success of the Company o Have an understanding of all master partner data, PRO (HR) systems at Starbucks and the relationship of partner data within Starbucks systems o Support projects to implement new systems and integrate data across current systems to enhance reporting and analysis o Support cross-functional teams on process improvements and workflow focusing on end to end delivery of data across systems engaging key stakeholders in multiple functions to facilitate data delivery and accurracy o Support data processes across the PRO (HR) organization regarding best practices in data management, continuous improvement and prioritization.
o Collaborates with other analysts/manager to conduct analyses that identify metrics with the largest impact on the business, identify optimal targets, evaluate the effectiveness of HR investments and priorities, and determine strengths and opportunities within client organization.
o Analyze and prepare data in a visual manner that adds value and drives improved business decisions.
o Collaborates with other analysts/manager on strategic research projects; responsible for creating hypotheses, running standard analyses, and interpreting results.
o Apply operational and data best practices / industry standards to daily activities.
o Analyze large amounts of data and develop summarized reporting based on analysis.
o Creates ad hoc queries, reports and provides quantitative data to meet needs of the business unit or department.
We'd love to hear from people with:
o Functional experience in multiple systems and data processes o Ability to apply knowledge of multidisciplinary business principles and practices to achieve successful outcomes in cross-functional projects and activities o Experience consulting with clients to define problem, determine appropriate data and analytics to address the problem, and present results.
o Experience in a consulting or corporate environment developing and implementing metrics/scorecards and providing consultation on metrics.
o Strong interpersonal skills and ability to translate complex systems requirements to business owners ; Excellent customer service, verbal/written communication skills, including communicating technical issues to non-technical audiences.
o Experience working with multiple system integrations and knowledge of system capabilities.
o Experience working with business and IT partners on moderately complex projects to coordinate data changes and updates.
Tracks project progress and provides updates to impacted parties.
o Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or related field or equivalent professional experience.
o Strong understanding of and proficient with data gathering, management, analysis and visualization tools (e.
g.
TOAD, KNIME, Tableau, SQL, Informa, Excel, Crystal, or comparable).
o Experience in data management, architecture and reporting within SAP/SuccessFactors or other related systems.
o Highly skilled and experienced in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook).
o Strong critical thinking, decision making, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
o Detailed oriented with strong analytical proficiency.
