Job Description:
REQUIRED SKILLS Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics etc.
Demonstrated analytical and quantitative skills and ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop business cases Understanding of the full Software Development lifecycle Experience developing products for customer facing end users 3
Years of programming experience with at with Java 3
years of experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems.
PREFERRED SKILLS Experience leading a software team as a tech lead Experience using Web Services Experience developing for Linux Experience coaching, and mentoring junior members on a software team Experience building scalable front-end infrastructure software or distributed systems for commercial online service Story Behind the Need Business Group & Key Projects The Security Information Engineering and Research Science (SIERS) in Consumer Security is committed to empowering security engineers across the org by unleashing the power of data and providing the right information in the right format at the right time.
You'll be part of a large enterprise Security organization that spans over ten countries worldwide and a wide variety of customer use cases including security intelligence, application security, incident response, security operations, risk and compliance, acquisitions and subsidiaries, and external partner security.
You will work with a wide variety of roles, including Software Development Engineers, BI engineers, Data Engineers, Technical Program Managers, and our Security Engineer customers to create and support useful datasets for security investigations, application modeling, and more.
You will use the Consumer organization's largest security data lake using internal tools and AWS services such as EMR, Glue, Athena, Redshift, S3, SNS, SQS, and more.
Our lake has 500
datasets from different sources and datasets with large daily volumes >1TB/day.
Our Data Engineers need to be able to gather and understand data requirements, partner with software engineers, and work across roles and teams to create the data infrastructure and pipelines necessary to drive our team's initiatives.
We have high visibility data ingestion goals in a fast paced, operational environment.

Beyond strong engineering, data storage/modeling, visualization, and front-end background, a successful candidate will have experience successfully building a scalable infrastructure.

Typical Day in the Role:
What will a typical day in the life of this role look like once the TEMP is ramped up? ASR is new security review tool launched for SDO.
As a result, Anvil will be deprecated.
A large number of security customers rely on Anvil datasets.
As part of this project, the contractor will ensure that all backend objects are moved off of Anvil, and customers are also migrating to ASR.
This will block Anvil deprecation, therefore the team must continue to operate two systems Anvil and ASR, two tools for security review.
That will result more operational support cost includes headcount & infrastructure cost.
Additionally, all downstream customer has to switch from Anvil to ASR, and they would now need to change views and dependent objects.
