Exempt SUMMARY The Event Security Manager will be responsible for the administration of Event Security operations for Lumen Field, Lumen Field Event Center and WaMu Theater.
This individual will also provide oversight and direction to Event Security supervisors and staff, coordinate all activities of Event Security staff, train, supervise and provide performance feedback including recommending areas of improvement when necessary.
Additionally, this role will monitor guest activity and assist with maintaining order and ensuring adherence to safety and security standards during events at Lumen Field, Lumen Field Event Center and WaMu Theater.
This is a full-time exempt position and at times will require work during evenings, weekends and holidays.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Develop, implement and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and security initiatives Communicate and plan with the Director of Security and Event Managers to understand expectations of an optimally secured event, pre and post event Act as a liaison with local law enforcement, client representatives, talent/sports team security and outside agencies Work with Guest Services management staff to ensure coordinated teamwork between Security and Guest Services Collaborate with internal departments and external clients to minimize expense and enhance budgeted results while operating efficiency Assist in the administrative documentation including reports, disciplinary notes, logging entries and assist in the creation of department budget and strategic plans Work closely with the Scheduling department to fulfill the security staffing requirements for all Lumen Field, Lumen Field Event Center and WaMu Theater events Monitor the performance, conduct and attendance of event security staff and supervisors assigned to the event security.
Coach, mentor and provide relevant training opportunities to event security staff and foster team unity in the department in alignment with company principles Embrace diversity by demonstrating respect and kindness to others from different cultures, races, gender, socioeconomic backgrounds and religions Responsible for the quality of the performance, conduct and effectiveness of the entire event security team Develop and conduct security and safety training sessions for event security personnel Create and maintain business relationships with teammates and facility partners including local, state and federal fire and police authorities through trainings and meetings Schedule medical, police, K9 and other local emergency management departments deemed necessary for all Lumen Field, Lumen Field Event Center and WaMu Theater events Interview, hire and train event security staff and supervisors assigned to the events.
Conduct performance appraisals of staff and supervisors and handle disciplinary actions as required Work special events, to include football games, soccer matches, concerts, trade and flat shows and other events hosted at Lumen Field, Lumen Field Event Center and WaMu Theater Work as Manager on Duty when assigned for above noted events Manage hourly security event staff scheduling and hours Respond to emergencies and work to deescalate urgent matters Complete special projects and other assigned tasks within the guidelines and deadlines set by the Director of Security MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Seven years or more experience in either or a combination of corporate security, law enforcement, sports and entertainment security or a related field Associate's degree in security, criminal justice or a related field Three or more years of progressive supervisory/management responsibility in a related field Demonstrated experience assisting with the development and/or directing of emergency preparedness related table top and drills Proficient in the operation and use of various software applications, including but not limited to Word, Excel, Outlook and sports and entertainment databases Demonstrated experience producing accurate reports and other documentation suitable for dissemination to senior management Proven professional during all interactions with others, especially in situations with conflicting perspectives/opinions or high stress incidents Highly developed interpersonal skills with a tactful and diplomatic communication style Demonstrated ability to work with other management personnel to achieve common goals Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information without compromising the integrity of the material or the situation PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in security, criminal justice or a related field Five or more years of progressive supervisory experience Three years or more of investigative experience NIMS and ICS certifications 100, 200, 300, 400 Experience conducting and/or coordinating threat and vulnerability assessments Experience working with a professional sports league in a security management role Active membership in security related organizations that discuss and monitor current security industry standards and best practices SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS Must be able to pass a background inquiry Must be able to obtain Basic First Aid and CPR/AED certification within 12 months of hire Must be able to obtain ICS certifications 100/200/700/800 within 18 months of hire SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position has supervisory responsibility of all full and part time Event Security staff.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS The salary range for this position is:
$70,000 - $80,000.
The salary range applies to the current posting.
