Weier is looking for an experienced Personal Injury Paralegal to join our Litigation Team.
The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of work history in the field and knowledge of, and experience with the following criteria:
Plaintiff's - Personal Injury State and Local Court Rules (Superior and District Courts) E-filing with Superior and Federal Court Steps and processes of litigation Mandatory Arbitration Preparing initial pleadings, and e-filing with District & Superior Court Preparing and perfecting service of process on Defendants Calendaring all case schedules deadlines on attorneys' calendar Prepare Requests for Admissions, Interrogatories, and Requests for Production Answering discovery requests from Defendants (possibly multiple Defendants in the same case) Coordinate and scheduling depositions, arbitrations and mediations with counsel Contacting and scheduling expert witnesses for depositions and/or trials Preparing additional pleadings, including but not limited to:
witness statements, motions/orders, and Prehearing Statement of Proof Scheduling and coordinating, via email or telephone communication meetings with clients, Courts, attorneys' offices, insurance companies, and experts Maintaining and scheduling appointments, hearings, depositions, trials, arbitrations on attorney calendar Keeping all case filing up to date for each client's file Preparing attorney for various meetings and/or phone conferences.
