This is a full-time position (4-5 days per week.
) We are an independent dental practice--not a corporate office--and the practice has been part of the Capitol Hill community for over three decades.
We provide comprehensive dentistry with an emphasis on patient education and preventive care.
Our patient-centered vision informs everything we do, from the genuine warmth our front office staff shows when greeting patients to the personalized and attentive service that our clinical staff displays during patient care.
As practice owners, the same approach guides our interactions with our team; we value our staff, and we aim to provide a work environment that is flexible and supportive, with room to grow and thrive.
Our busy dental practice includes two front office team members who handle a range of office functions; one of our front office staff will be leaving to work in the same company as her husband, and we are looking for a replacement for her.
The core work responsibilities for our front office staff include greeting patients, patient sign-in and walk-outs, collecting and posting payments, answering phones and email messages, following up with patients and specialists, scheduling appointments, presenting treatment plans, verifying insurance coverage, submitting insurance claims, and maintaining AR.

We are typically open Monday through Friday with patient hours from 8:
00 - 4:
00 (and on somedays until 5:
00); Front office hours typically end at 5 PM.
We are currently hiring a full-time front office position (4-5 days per week), but we are also open to candidates with part-time availability.

Our practice is conveniently located a few blocks from the Capitol Hill light rail station and near several bus lines; we can cover ORCA fares in lieu of parking for staff who prefer to commute by transit.
Additionally, full-time employees (working 30
hours per week) are eligible to join our health and vision insurance plan.
Required Skills/
Qualifications:
Experience interacting with patients or customers in a service-focused position.
Ability to develop and maintain cooperative working relationships in a team-focused practice that is dedicated to supporting patient health.
Problem solving skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
Desired Skills/
Qualifications:
Experience working in a dental front office setting.
Experience with Eaglesoft or Oryx practice management software.
Experience with dental insurance billing, scheduling, and treatment plan presentation.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
