Job summaryWant to build and manage the data center portfolio hosting one of the world's largest and fastest growing cloud platforms? AWS Infrastructure Services is seeking a senior executive to lead global AWS data center capacity planning, real estate and energy development and acquisition, construction, and commissioning.
You and your organization will own the delivery and optimization of data center capacity to support growth in existing AWS regions, as well as the strategy and delivery for infrastructure builds in new AWS regions.
A key determinant of you and your team's success will be your ability to innovate and scale, and reduce your relianceon humans to track and manage a fast-growing, increasingly complex business.

As the leader of AWS global data center planning and delivery, you own the scaling, geographic expansion, and optimization of this global data center footprint.
Key job responsibilitiesBuild, develop and inspire a deep and talented bench of multi-disciplined technical leaders and domain experts, as well as commercially savvy general managers.
Your team is comprised of leaders in capacity forecasting and planning, commercial real estate acquisition, utility interconnects and planning for power and water, zoning and permitting, construction and commissioning, controls systems deployments, network deployments, risk due diligence, and geographic expansion strategic planning.

We have to replace legacy tools with robust automation that removes rote work from our team and delivers decisions and exceptions to high judgement leaders.
The ideal candidate will have a track record of scaling teams and businesses, continuous improvement, productivity and efficiency improvement, and automation business cases and roadmap delivery.

We are planning and building physical infrastructure at an unprecedented scale and pace.
Failure to deliver data center capacity can constrain and impact our customer's business.
We have to deliver on our project and program due dates and commitments.
The leader of this business has to be excellent at building instrumentation and alarming that flags risks and changes that can interrupt or delay the delivery of capacity.
AWS senior leaders are exceptionally paranoid, constantly looking around corners, and adept at diving into the details to uncover and mitigate risk.
Lead and make high judgement, transparent decisions that account for demand uncertainty, near and long term supply risk, and economic return on investment.
Our data center infrastructure hosts all of AWS and Amazon's services.
There is great interest in our capacity plans and deliveries that enable business growth, new products and services, geographic expansion, and our financial plans and commitments to shareholders.
We are owners and stewards of a large portion of AWS spend.
AWS senior leaders welcome scrutiny of their plans, roadmaps, delivery status, and financials and routinely seek input and help to reason about uncertainty.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
