Job summaryWe are looking for a process and finance oriented Sr.
Program Manager, ideally with experience in carbon accounting to be the first owner the ambitious Climate Pledge goals for the GREF organization worldwide.
As the owner, you will be responsible for the roadmap to meeting the NZC, establishing new processes for measuring carbon, investment decision-making, as well as communication to senior leadership on a regular basis.
To establish new measurement mechanisms, you will own a tech and BI roadmap to improve how we measure carbon and work with our BI team to identify and close gaps in carbon measurement.
This includes working across our worldwide business and operations teams as well as working with the net zero carbon team.
Candidates that have a knowledge of business intelligence processes and a desire to manage a roadmap will excel in this aspect of the role.
In this role you will create the mechanisms including tracking our carbon footprint and creating new metrics to embed sustainability into our business functions.
This role requires both the technical expertise and program knowhow needed to start something new.
Key job responsibilitiesOwner of GREFs Net Zero Carbon goalsDeliver white papers and business case analysis providing insights, recommendations, risks, and benefits of various carbon reduction initiatives.
Coordinate and align stakeholders to produce and maintain a carbon reduction roadmap, investment decision-making mechanisms, and highlight gaps to goals.
Drive and track continuous improvement of carbon intensity per program or project.
Adjust quickly to lessons learned and feedback.
Ensure common metrics and definitions are being used consistently across the organization.
Recommend improvements and for system enhancements to standardize, simplify, and improve data quality.
Dive deep into our carbon footprint reporting sources, identify gaps and create mechanisms to track ongoing carbon metrics to deliver into the organization.
Apply deep analytic and business intelligence skills to extract meaningful insights and learning from large and complicated data sets.
Serve as liaison between the business and technical teams to achieve the goal of providing actionable insights into current business performance, and ad hoc investigations to support future improvements or innovations.
This will require data gathering and manipulation, problem solving, and communication of insights and recommendations.
Build various data visualizations to tell the story of trends, patterns, and outliers.
A day in the lifeYou work closely with the Net Zero Carbon Team to on-board to measurement tools and establish Year-Over-Year Carbon Reduction goals, which will drive our OP1 planning process.
This will require diving deep into data, interpreting results, and making clear recommendations to leadership.
Because this role iss the first of its kind, you will own the establishment of financial investment mechanisms in partnership with teams to create decision-making mechanisms regarding investments about decarbonization for OP1 cycles.
Successful candidates will be able to define and execute to concrete milestones amidst long-term goals and drive towards a vision among several stakeholders.
