Summary:
Digital Transformation is changing customer experiences and this position puts you at the forefront of F5's digital data strategy and execution. As a Data Scientist, you are passionate about turning data into actions by creating machine learning models and exploring new technologies. You will bring your knowledge, expertise and passion for problem solving and provide new and innovative thinking for the future data architecture at F5. In this role, you will dive into our data and discover novel ways to expose previously unknown insights into our customer's experience. You will contribute to ensuring that we are capturing the right data, ensure that we have the right tools and technology to develop experiments, build models, and land the models in a production environment. The Senior Data Scientist working in the Data Strategy and Insights Team will partner closely with other teams across the organization including the IT Organization, Marketing, Sales, Service, and Product teams to develop predictive models and advance analytical insights. PRIMARY
Responsibilities:
You will work with the team to analyze and understand patterns in our data to deliver models for prediction, targeting, recommendation, optimization, etc. You will collect and clean data from our data lake in order to build models that will be used in our analytics platform Partner and collaborate across the organization to understand customer problems and discover solutions in our data Ability to rapidly prototype statistical and quantitative analysis, build machine learning models as well as work with business and IT teams to deliver them to production Help engineer additional features and data pipelines to increase the power of our predictive models With pragmatism and diplomacy, synthesize, merge and transform existing data capabilities to address needs and requirements Create efficient and scalable algorithms that answer questions about our data You will be responsible for learning the business and contributing your thoughts on how to best serve our internal customers with data science products. You will have a seat at the table in growing data science as a discipline at F5. REQUIRED SKILLS EXPERIENCE and
Qualifications:
Master's degree in computer science, data science, mathematics, statistics, or relevant field. 8
years experience in applied mathematics, statistical and quantitative analysis, and machine learning Ability to work in a collaborative environment that requires distilling technical concepts into digestible information for non-technical audiences Curiosity that drives you to dig deeper and look at problems in different ways to find unique solutions Python and SQL required Passion for mentoring other Data Scientists and Engineers Applied experience with frameworks such as H2O, Spark/MLlib, XGBoost, and scikit-learn Demonstrable understanding in connecting predictive analytical projects to business outcomes Ownership of your work and a desire to make it happen Experience scaling data/modeling pipelines using Spark, Dask, Rapids or other distributed/parallelizing frameworks Experience with Databricks a plus Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Duties are performed in a normal office environment while sitting at a desk or computer table. Duties require the ability to utilize a computer, communicate over the telephone, and read printed material. This role is open to remote work within the continental US Duties may require being on call periodically and working outside normal working hours (evenings and weekends). Duties may require the ability to travel via automobile or airplane, approximately 10% of the time spent traveling.
Salary Range:
$150K -- $200K
Minimum Qualification
Data Science & Machine LearningEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
