Global IT Network Security Architect at TIBCO in Seattle, WA

Overview The Global IT Network Security Architect will be responsible for designing, building, testing, and implementing the network security systems within the TIBCO IT enterprise. This includes writing policies and procedures for network changes and security incidents, implementing and managing a security monitoring system, regularly reviewing current firewall rules, working with the network engineering team on new deployments, and continuously monitoring network system software versions for new security vulnerabilities. Additionally the Network Security Architect will work closely with the Global Network Operations team to implement network changes, troubleshoot network problems, and ensure a high level of uptime for all network systems. The Global IT Network Security Architect will report to the Sr. Manager, Global IT Network Operations. What You'll Do Reviewing current network system security measures and recommending and implementing enhancements. Conducting regular system tests and ensuring continuous monitoring of network security. Developing project timelines for ongoing system upgrades. Promptly responding to all security incidents and providing thorough post-event analyses. Reviewing all network change requests for security vulnerabilities. Performing firewall rule changes. Monitoring network device logs. Monitoring network security systems. Participate in security and change review meetings. Who You Are 10
years of experience as a network engineer managing firewalls and load balancers. 5
years working with Cisco network products. 3
years of experience in managing a large private and/or public cloud. Extensive experience in information security and/or IT risk management with a focus on security, performance and reliability. Ability to read and understand a packet capture. High energy with ability to work independently and be self-motivated . A desire to continually study new technologies and functionality, as well as be involved in projects that push the capabilities of existing technologies. Extremely strong communication & presentation skills including the ability to effectively develop materials that are appropriate for a variety of audiences. Extensive knowledge of the IP Protocol and OSI model. Working knowledge of Linux and Windows systems. Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python/Perl/Powershell. Knowledge of Palo Alto firewalls a plus. Knowledge of Cisco ACI a plus. Knowledge of Cisco Meraki a plus. Knowledge of F5 BIG-IP Load Balancers a plus.
Salary Range:
$150K -- $200K
Minimum Qualification
System & Network Administration, IT SecurityEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
