  • Anticoagulants, Insulin drips, Magnesium Sulfate therapy
  • BLS
  • NRP
  • AWHONN Advanced

High Risk Antepartum- 6 weeks to 41 weeksPTL, previa, preeclampsia, diabetes, hypertension, prom, twins, substance use disorder in pregnancy.Care of fetal demise or loss of patients both antepartum and postpartum, postpartum mother with baby in NICU, no newborns on this unit.
Unit Details:- Support of amnio or sterile spec exam at the bedside- PCA Pumps- PICC/Central Lines, Syringe Pumps- Heparin, Insulin, Magnesium Sulfate
scrub requirements : any color “ but when floated to the L&D units scrubs are provided
Certifications:- AWHONN Advanced, BLS, NRP (REQUIRED)- ACLS (PREFERRED)
SKILLS
Work Setting:- High Risk Antepartum
Antepartum Care and Procedures:- Assist with sterile speculum exam (effacement, dilation, station, presentation)
IV Therapy/Phlebotomy:- Maintain central lines (CVC / PICC)
Medication & Administration:- Anticoagulants, Insulin drips, Magnesium Sulfate therapy
Labor and Delivery Management:Circulate for C-section
