Amazon's continued growth and expansion to every country and line of business depends on the flexibility of its tax software to rapidly handle any new tax regulation that legislators can conceive and guarantee it is always calculating sales taxes correctly.
We also own the lifecycle for tax exemption, and we own workflows and services for the validation of tax registration numbers that governments assign to sellers, businesses and vendors.

The ideal candidate has a range of experience solving different engineering problems across the full tech stack.
Key job responsibilities Collaborate with experienced cross-disciplinary Amazonians to conceive, design, and bring innovative products and services to market.
Design and build innovative technologies in a large distributed computing environment, and help lead fundamental changes in the industry.
Create solutions to run predictions on distributed systems with exposure to innovative technologies at incredible scale and speed.
Build distributed storage, index, and query systems that are scalable, fault-tolerant, low cost, and easy to manage/use.
Ability to design and code the right solutions starting with broadly defined problems.
Work in an agile environment to deliver high-quality software.
A day in the lifeYou will be working in a central core team of eCommerce services, responsible for calculating taxes for worldwide Amazon customers.
Your solutions will impact millions of Amazon purchases on various Amazon marketplaces.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
