Join our diverse team of problem solvers as we add new chapters to the history of spaceflight! We are seeking an experienced Senior Benefits Program Manager to join our Benefits team at Blue Origin.
In this role, you will play a critical part in shaping the future of space exploration by leading all aspects of Blue's leave and accommodation programs.
Your attention to detail and commitment to safety will be important in supporting our vision.
Responsibilities:
Serve as Senior Benefits Program Manager for the Benefits Team with responsibilities to include, but not limited to:
Program Ownership and CompliancePartner with benefits consultant to lead all federal, state, and local compliance, filings, reports, and audits related to the administration of employee benefit programs.
Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive benefits programs that meet Blue s employee and organization needs while also working within the framework of applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Serve as the subject matter authority on all benefits programs, in collaboration with Legal and HR leadership, around benefits policy and administration.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistency and effectiveness of benefits programs across all Blue locations.
Operations and AdministrationAdminister all Blue group benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, 401k, and other benefits programs.
Lead Blue s annual benefits open enrollment process and 1095-C filing.
Serve as Product Manager of Workday Benefits for system enhancements and improvements.
Develop and maintain benefits resources, training, educational material, and communications for employees and managers.
Conducts training on benefits programs.
Serve as the point of escalation for benefits matters.
Resolve raised issues with urgency.
Lead all aspects of the processing of monthly benefits billings for all group plans.
Reporting and AnalyticsEstablish measurement of and then use third-party based on benefit program data and trends and employee feedback for intervention and recommendations for program improvements.
Use reporting to track and report in alignment with federal, state, and local laws.
Build, maintain, and communicate regular operational metrics for all benefits programs to evaluate program effectiveness, vendor performance, and employee usage.
Vendor ManagementMaintain relationships with external benefits providers and communicate program updates across all locations.
Find opportunities to leverage vendor capabilities to support process improvement, employee experience improvements, and cost savings.
Monitor equal-opportunity vendor performance for adherence to established service-level agreements.
Participate in vendor RFP s, selection, negotiation, and annual renewal, in collaboration with Sr.
Manager, Benefits.

Bachelor s degree in a related field and 10
years of experience administering benefits programs.
Expert knowledge of benefits and leave laws and regulations (e.
g.
, ACA, ERISA, USERRA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, Section 125, workers' compensation, Medicare, etc.
).
Experience leading benefits in Workday or equivalent HR systems and processes and an understanding of the downstream impact of transactions on benefits, pay, and other areas.
Experience with HR program management, project management, and case management tools and technology.
Strong research, analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills.
Strong oral and written communication skills and proven ability to collaborate across all levels of an organization.
Strong self-starter, fast learner, quality conscious, committed to delivering results.
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and handle small and large projects with a diversity of internal and external customers.
