The Amazon Camera team is seeking a highly motivated, strategic thinker with a passion for people leadership.

The Manager, Vendor Manager (MVM) will lead a high performing team and will be responsible for driving both the top and bottom-line metrics for multiple strategic categories.
To deliver results, this person will own strategic vendor relationships, expand product selection, negotiate vendor terms, partner with marketing and advertising to drive traffic and work with operations and instock to guarantee product availability.
Ultimately, we expect the Manager, Vendor Management (MVM) to be a passionate customer advocate within Amazon and have a long-term, cross-functional mindset and a deep understanding of the P&L.
Key job responsibilitiesFull P&L responsibility, including planning, forecasting and driving growth for the respective categories.
Must be adept at understanding internal and external variables (inputs) that impact the business and how to deploy against each to attain the desired results.
o A strong passion for Hiring, developing and leading a team of Retail Vendor Managers.
o Proven record of driving strategic vendor negotiations and delivering outsized results.
Comfortable representing Amazon when meeting with senior executive teams from top vendors.
o Effective at setting goals and strategic direction for the business, ensuring alignment with broader business goals and vision.
o Skilled communicator in working with Amazon partners and vendors, as well as with internal groups such as buying, site merchandising, marketing, PR, finance, operations, and retail systems to deliver innovation and a better customer experience.
o Strong in cross functional collaboration on necessary systems and processes to support business needs, including retail systems, site merchandising and in-stock.
o Adept at identifying industry trends that are relevant to customer selection and experience.
A day in the lifeThe Camera MVMs day would likely include:
reviewing reporting/audits for their business's metric; conducting regular business rhythm activities such as WBR/MBR inputs or leadership; 1:
1s or coaching sessions/problem solving with their team, MVM peers, finance partner, and or other key stakeholders; work on strategic projects, cross-org sme-ships, or key category initiatives.
About the teamThis team owns the Camera business & vendor relationships including traditional cameras (ILC & Point and Shoot), Handsfree (drone & action cameras), Security (e.
g.
Google Nest), Film (Fuji & Polaroid instant cameras & consumables) and associated accessories.
We have a mix of large, challenging head vendors (Canon, Sony) and smaller Amazon centric brands (Wyze, Nixplay).
While the overall camera industry is declining due to smart phones, there are many unique dynamics at play right now including subscription revenue models, and Gen-Z interest in traditional formats (film, P&S) as well as increased vlogging demand.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
