Amazon Web Services (AWS) seeks a creative, self-motivated, analytical and tenacious individual who exercises high-judgment and has a passion for media relations to join the AWS Press Office (APO) team.
The APO plays a pivotal role in supporting the AWS communications teams across the US, LATAM, Canada, APJ, Greater China, and EMEA.
This PR Specialist role offers an exciting opportunity to tackle complex, interesting, and challenging opportunities, collaborate with Comms leaders across AWS and Amazon, build relationships with the media, and contribute to various special projects.
The ideal candidate is a highly organized individual who possesses a strong attention to detail, has excellent interpersonal skills, is able to pivot and react quickly with appropriate levels of urgency to inquiries that require timely responses, can take on increased responsibility as the position advances, and is an exceptional writer.
This role will be based in Seattle or Arlington and requires periodic travel.
Key job responsibilitiesKey job responsibilities- Delivering comprehensive coverage reporting, analysis and insights, including aggregating coverage reports for AWS announcements, industry news and events- Ensuring factually accurate representation of AWS and its services in the press- Staying on top of industry trends and continually seek training and education in new skills and tools to help the team be more efficient- Acting as the first line of response for media inquiries, ensuring a professional and timely response- Developing and strengthening relationships with technology and business media and influencers- Managing complex, fast-moving, and unexpected communications challenges with high-judgement and professionalism- Supporting third-party customer and partner press releases- Managing AWS speaker approvals- Managing our measurement and analysis programs and toolsAbout the teamInclusive Team CultureHere at Amazon, we embrace our differences.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
