Provide electrical engineering design for electric vehicle charging infrastructure projects from conceptual design through construction packages, which includes site plans, single lines, construction details, specifications, and calculations Assist in developing and implement project procedures Lead the engineering discipline and coordinate with civil/structural engineer to provide complete designs Coordinate with utilities and permitting agencies Provide support through construction including reviewing submittals, answering requests for information, and providing revised design documents as needed Attend site visits and client meetings to discuss existing facilities Access fleet conversion opportunities and feasibility Interface with the customer to identify project/scope needs and communicate engineering solutions Write technical scopes of work for subcontractors Write detailed technical approach descriptions to be included in client proposal submissions Perform quality reviews of electrical design packages Develop project and construction estimating at various phases Provide leadership, guidance, and instruction to staff members to include engineers Develop white papers to present at industry conferences Present solutions and/or findings to client Other duties as assigned What you will bring to the table:
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from an ABET accredited program with eight (8+) plus years of relevant experience Currently licensed as a Professional Engineer in one or more states Must have expert level mastery of NFPA 70 (NEC) and related codes.
Must have experience with designing electrical systems including:
facility distribution systems, 600 VAC and below, building and site lighting Develop concept designs for renewable & resilient power delivery and storage systems Coordinate with vendors to price and evaluate designs Strong knowledge in standard engineering techniques and procedures Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work methodically and analytically in a quantitative problem-solving environment and demonstrated critical thinking skills Ability to travel U.
S Citizen and able to obtain security clearance It would be nice if you had:
Eight (8) or more years of relevant experience to include experience in transportation electrification and/or Design and Development of Electric Charging stations Experience designing projects for the Department of Defense Master's degree in electrical engineering is a plus Design/Build project experience Experience applying the NEC, NESC codes and IEEE standards Location:

PDSSUBSTATIONPowerDelivery Pay Range:
Pay Range $101,400.
00 - $183,300.
00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
