We're looking for a smart, creative, and enthusiastic social media professional to join our small-but-mighty (and growing) Marketing & Communications Team.
This newly created position will help us get the word out about our destination and showcase the diverse community stories, unique businesses, and one-of-a-kind attractions it has to offer.

JOB SUMMARY We're on the lookout for someone who exhibits professional-level creative and analytical work in developing and executing an innovative social media strategy to support our marketing and communications program.
The right candidate possesses working knowledge of the ins and outs of social media best practices, right-brain strategy skills, and left-brained creative production and execution experience.
The right candidate has a proven track record of developing a successful social media strategy, executing it across multiple platforms, and backing it up with results.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Plan and execute/optimize content for social media accounts.
Enhance and/or improve Explore Seattle Southside's presence across social media channels by increasing followers, engagement, impressions, and other key metrics.
Manage and schedule day-to-day posts across all active platforms, including:
Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, YouTube, LinkedIn, and X.
Develop and regularly send reports on social media content performance.
Monitor emerging social media trends and platforms.
Advise on paid social campaigns to align with marketing initiatives.
Apply best practices in social search, content tagging, and metadata strategies to enhance content relevance and social channel impact.
Ensure high-quality communication and best-in-class tactical execution at all times.
Provide input with Marketing & Communications Team on yearly editorial calendar and ways to support branded content across marketing channels.
Assist with planning and recommendations for content creator partnerships.
Plan and execute gathering content with business partners, content team, and on own in market on a regular weekly basis.
Handle special projects and other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE 1.
Four-year college degree in Communications, Marketing, or related field or equivalent work experience.
2.
Three to five years experience managing, with decision-making authority, company social media profiles and campaigns.
3.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
4.
Photography/video content creation and editing experience.
5.
Advanced knowledge and understanding of social media platforms, analytics tools, and third-party management tools.
6.
Deep knowledge of popular social platforms (i.
e.
Facebook, X, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, Pinterest, LinkedIn, etc.
) including new and emerging technologies.
7.
Energetic self-starter with good interpersonal and collaborative teamwork skills.
8.
Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and/or other photo/video editing software and apps.
9.
Proven experience with managing branded social media platforms.
10.
Experience deriving business insights based on social media metrics.
11.
Able to identify digital marketing trends and key opportunities for innovation.
12.
Strong organizational and analytical skills.
13.
Ability to be accountable for maintaining high, reliable quality standards while working on overlapping assignments in a team environment.
14.
Possess and maintain a current, valid Driver License.
