Are you looking for something shorter term, perhaps three months to half a year? Then we might have the right job opportunity for you! Access Control Security Agents and their Supervisors ensure a clear distinction between our secured and public sides of airport travel by remaining aware and vigilant of commonly trafficked exit areas leaving both A and C gates.
This will involve a lot of relatively stationary work while standing or sitting to answer questions, facilitate approved entry access, and denying entry and re-enter, if necessary of those either wanting to enter secured areas from the public or from those who have already had access to public areas in some manner.
We have flexible scheduling available and the best fit would be those wanting to work full-time or part-time.
Our shifts are expected to be anywhere from 5 to 10 hours long.
Shifts will involve work occurring within two windows of availability:
4:
30am to 4:
30pm or from 1:
00pm to 1:
00am.
Applicants must have required documentation and be able to complete training successfully both for an airport badge and for some classroom and on-the-job training alongside the TSA.
We are looking both for first-line security agents and for supervisors.
Supervisors should be capable of managing breaks, work assignments, scheduling, and time-off of first-line agents.
Access Control Security Agents will be working at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport and doing the following:
Regulate passenger access out of the airport terminal preventing breaches in security.
Facilitate passenger questions and provide airport-related information.
Provide a professional, positive, and respectful manner to all guests whilst ensuring strict security and safety protocols are followed.
To accomplish this, we require that you:
Communicate effectively at an advanced to fluent level in English Have prior experience providing security and controlling access points or thoroughfare.
Preferred customer service experience.
Project one's voice to a crowd Effectively operate a two-way radio Be able to stand and/or sit for long periods of time Punctuality for shift coverage and reliable attendance Availability to work various shifts/times Any bilingual language capabilities will be an asset, especially if interested in continuous work after the end of this seasonal position.
Particular emphasis on the Spanish (primary), Chinese, Vietnamese, Korean, Somali, Ukrainian, Russian, and Punjabi languages to communicate with more of the local traveling public.
Security agents will be compensated at $21.
00 per hour.
Supervisors can expect $24.
00 per hour to start.
Full-time and part-time positions are available.
You must be able to provide federally valid identification based on the REAL ID ACT of 2005 in order to secure a Port of Seattle badge for work in this facility.
